DOG-DAYS OF - FALL? We are at the end of what was a glorious summer in the Catskills, having happily avoided drought, fires and flood (if anything, September is setting to be warmer than August). Because of recent dryness, the deciduous trees - Beech, Birch, Maple and Oak - have been coloring and shedding leaves early.
